Apocolyte: You know, Davis is one of the few, very few, artists that cry for black and white. His intense cross hatching put in so many shadows and textures, even a colorist as brilliant as Marie Severin must have had trouble knowing how to handle him. As discussed on your other blog - I think Torres is another one begging sans color. (thank heavens you got my craving for a B&W Davis handled over at your other great blog!). -- Mykal
ReplyDeleteHa! Thanks Mykal!
ReplyDeleteI realized for a few weeks now that I wanted to post some Davis art on BnWnR and elsewhere, and definitely have more great Davis art to share in days to come.
